A Look at A Taste of EPCOT's International Flower & Garden Festival

It may be cold now, but soon Epcot will welcome in Spring with a flourish of color as the International Flower and Garden Festival once again takes center stage March 3rd-July 5th. Join Elsa and all her Disney friends as they let go of Winter and host a festival full of fun, flavors and flowering sights around the park.

Topiaries and Gardens

Be amazed by the work of the Disney horticulturists as you explore the park to find Disney characters and other fun animals displayed in festive topiaries. All your favorites from Bambi and Friends, Remy, and of course Mickey's Gang will be waiting for you. Want to make the search a little more fun? Have a friendly competition to see who can find and take a selfie with all 24 displays.

A tour around the park will also lead you to the 20 Global Gardens that are part of this year's festival. You can take the opportunity to weave through dazzling flowerbeds, stumble upon exotic gardens, learn more about sustainable foods and celebrate the ways we can live in harmony with the natural world. Make sure to visit the new Prehistoric Garden, where you will be able to imagine life on Earth 65 million years ago with astounding plant life that’s thrived since the age of the dinosaurs.

Family Fun

The Flower and Garden Festival provides families with several opportunities of fun and learning. Included in these are two scavenger hunts that get everyone exploring around the park. Both of these have maps that can be purchased at park gift shops for $7.99 plus tax and can be returned upon completion for a festival souvenir. Spike’s Pollen-Nation Exploration -- Follow Spike the Bee on his pollination trail, where he will “bee” busy collecting nectar and pollinating gardens at Epcot. Egg-stravaganza Scavenger Hunt -- Search high and low for decorative eggs inspired by your favorite Disney characters. You never who you might find hiding out disguised as an egg. Your day at Epcot would also not be complete without exploring other festival offerings including visiting some of the the Goodness Garden Butterfly House and taking time to tap your toes to the sound of the Jammin Gardeners at the Canada Mill Stage.

Outdoor Kitchens

Epcot's festivals are known for their epicurean delights and this year's Flower and Garden Festival is no exception. Embark on a mouthwatering mission to taste your way around a healthy, wholesome smorgasbord… bon appétit!

The World Showcase at Epcot plays host to the Festival-exclusive Outdoor Kitchens, each offering a specialty menu of creative cuisine and libations. Savor, sip and stroll while satisfying appetites large and small! Make sure to come hungry as there are so many delicious samplings of savory sweets, mouth-watering main dishes and refreshing beverages.
